Welcome to Villa Sounine

We are a small, family-run guesthouse and creative retreat, nestled between sea and sky on the northern coast of Tunisia.

It’s a place to slow down, reconnect with nature, and feel at home — whether you come to rest, explore, or create.

“…and then, I have nature and art and poetry, and if that is not enough, what is enough?”
- Vincent van Gogh

Who we are

We’re Claudia and Khalil — artists, hosts, and partners in life.

Claudia is a multidisciplinary artist working with clay, wood, and found materials.

Her practice moves between ceramics, sculpture, and spontaneous forms — guided by instinct, texture, and silence.

She imagined Villa Sounine as a place where art and hospitality could meet — gently, sincerely.

Khalil is an actor, podcaster, and storyteller who creates content exploring introspection, creativity, and everyday poetry.

He enjoys sharing this space with others who feel called to create — through film, writing, photography, or sound.

We live here year-round, caring for this place with our hands, our hearts, and a shared vision.

What we’ve built is more than a house — it’s a home we’re proud to share with guests and fellow creatives from around the world.

A Place to Create, Rooted in Inspiration

Villa Sounine offers spaces and tools thoughtfully designed to nurture creative flow:

a ceramic studio with a wheel and kiln, a space for painting and woodworking, musical instruments (piano and guitar), and essential equipment for sound and video recording — available to artists, storytellers, and content creators.

There is always a quiet corner too — to write, reflect, or simply let ideas flow freely.

Here, everyone is invited to explore and give voice to what lives within.

A Shared Dream

This project began with a shared dream — to create a space shaped by artistic energy, beauty, eco-conscious living, and heartfelt hospitality.

Not just a guesthouse, but a place to feel, to reflect, to breathe.

We welcome all kinds of travelers, especially those seeking a space where creativity, nature, stillness, and respectful community come together.
